Need to Integrate New HVAC units into our Netbotz 200 system

Our In-Row ACRD units failed and due to down sizing of the compute and storage footprint we have decided to install 2 qty 36,000 BTU Mitsubishi P-Series ductless mini-split air conditioning systems

Indoor model#PKA-AK36NL

Outdoor model#PUZ-AK36NL

We had considered Kumo Cloud but this looks like it will not give us the alerting and visibility we need.

before the failures, the DCE 9.1.1 detected failures of the ACRD units, sent email alerts which then triggered phone calls to critical response staff. We also get Temperature alerts.

These units communicate using BacNet and the Netbotz uses ModBus

I have done a considerable amount of research on connecting the two. We have 2 Netbotz 200 ports and several APC switch ports available.

Questions:

Mitsubishi suggests a PAC-UKPRC001-CN-1, 1 per unit. How do we connect this to the Netbotz?

What kid of DDF or other configuration file do we need to add these units as Modbus devices?

Hi @JCab2000 ,

the modbus connection on the NetBotz 200 is modbus output. It does not monitor other devices but can instead be monitored by a modbus server. In order to monitor the NBRK0200 via modbus, you would connect it via standard 3 wire connection and the register map is here:
https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA279764/

Thank you,

Steve

The Goal of this is to be able to monitor the Mitsubishi units which use Bacnet by the Schneider DCE 9.1.1

@APC_Steve Thanks for clarifying the where the Netbotz falls in the scheme of things. Goal of this is to be able to monitor the 2 Mitsubishi units which use Bacnet by the Schneider DCE 9.1.1. I see there are Bacnet to Modbus converters. I can add Modbus device in the DCE. Just need to know what hardware I need and if I need a DDF file

Hi @JCab2000

I don't have a specific recommendation for a modbus gateway / converter. Perhaps Mitsubishi has recommendations. As for a DDF file, yes, you will need to add a DDF to DCE in order to monitor any SNMP or Modbus device. The following FAQ tells you where to download a DDF for DCE as well as how to request one should the correct DDF not be available:
https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA290458/

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks for all the Info @APC_Steve !

This is what I came up with yesterday. The Mitsubishi_DCE_Options_Expanded_2026-07-29.docx lists 2 A1M+ Procon modules (connect to the CN-105 port on the Mitsu units) as a ModBus TCP option that could be added to the DCE with the IP's and DDF. (Still working on getting the extended DDF)  The alternative which the document goes into detail, uses 2 Procon A1M ModBus RS-485 on the Mitsu units and connect both to a Moxa to convert to ModBus TCP which can then be discovered by the DCE
