I recommend before taking any actions that you take a backup of the Data Center Expert appliance from within the Desktop Client under the System menu > Server Administration Settings > Server Backup/Restore.
Once you have a backup, the VM should be able to be migrated to a new host as long as the MAC address remains the same.
If you have issues with this, then you would need to deploy a new VM that is running the same version as your old VM using the same amount of resources and then restore a backup to it. If the MAC address changes, licensing would need to be migrated to the new system by technical support.
