Inquiry about DDF file for PAS600L in DCE

Hello team,

I would like to ask whether there is an available DDF (Device Definition File) for the PAS600L device that can be used in Data Center Expert (DCE).

I have checked the current DDF catalog but could not find this specific device.

If the DDF is not available, could you please advise whether it is possible to request one or get support in creating a custom DDF (SNMP/Modbus) for this device?

Any guidance, documentation, or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Alfi,

I believe that the PAS600L is an automation server that converts wired Modbus or possibly other protocols into ModbusTCP for integrations.  If this is the case, it likely will require a unique DDF file.

adding some additional info.  The PAS600 is a panel server and the replacement for the egx100/150.  The most common use case would be to convert serial modbus to modbus TCP.  In this scenario, you would need DDFs for the device downstream of the PAS600.  This would typically be a standard SE or 3rd party modbus DDF which may already exist in the DDF library (ddf.ecostruxureit.com)

The PAS600 also some external inputs/outputs that could use either a standard DDF for the PAS600 itself or a customized one if you need custom labels.
