Hi,
I hope someone can help me with this.
I have integrated IT Advisor with our Data Center expert installation, with one small issue where a few items have disappeared off the non associated list, but yet don't appear to be associated to anything?
My bigger issue is I now need to load the racks with all the non Schneider/APC equipment. There are hundreds of items mainly Cisco and Dell which need to be added to the racks. I have found the entry in the ini file to enable the Import option but I cannot find the Excel template. Would it be possible for someone to send the template or point me towards it's location?
Thanks in advance,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
Regarding the items related to device association,
If it needs to be investigated, then please feel free to open a support ticket here: https://app.ecostruxureit.com/request/
Regarding the equipment import/template file,
If you have enabled the feature, then in desktop client go to File > Import > Equipment from Excel Workbook
and then click the 'Save template file' button.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hi Jeff,
thanks for that. I can't believe I didn't just try that.
Is there any documentation on importation with details on things like required/non required fields, data formats, etc?
Regards,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
The template file includes sample data to help users understand the types of data you might enter into each field, the data in these fields is not related to existing data in your ITA solution. It is the same data every customer would see if they download the template.
As you may have noticed this is a hidden feature, which was basically designed for internal use, and therefore we do not have any guides or documentation in our help site.
Kind regards,
Jef
