IT Advisor: Selecting Power Outlets on Generic R-PDU

Hi Team,

Kindly advise on how to modify a Generic R-PDU and add Power Outlets that can be selected when defining Power Cable Connections on IT equipment. We can select the Power Outlet on some R-PDUs but some R-PDUs do not have this option.

Additionally, we can only change the number of power outlets but we cannot define the Power Outlet type e.g C13, C19 etc... Is there any official documentation about this?

This is not currently possible with IT Advisor as the ability to use specific outlets is specific to extended rack pdu genomes (extended = genomes with power outlet, bank and other detailed rack pdu info).

To complete the task you're asking you would want to copy an existing extended genome which is similar to the rack pdu you're attempting to model in ITA. You cannot edit some of the properties of extending rack pdus so if you take this path, then you'd want to find a rack pdu which is a near exact match.

There is an existing feature request which askes for an editable extended genome for the generic rack pdu, I can add this info to the request if you'd like.
