How to replace Netbotz but keep historic data?
Hi there,
I'm currently moving from a Netbotz 450 to a Netbotz 750 and want to know if I can keep the historic data from the old Netbotz in DCE, and/or if I can "migrate" sensor data from the old sensors to the new sensors.
There is no functionality to merge data for two different devices in Data Center Expert. You can keep the old device in DCE, but it may cause lost communication alarms to go out to admins on a regular basis when it is taken offline. Keeping it in DCE will also lead to the consumption of an additional node license. (one for the 450 and one for the 750).
I would recommend exporting the data that you require and storing it in excel spreadsheets to prevent this from occurring. Check out our FAQ on exporting data if you want to go this route: https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA321628/
