HTTP POST Alarm Request Empty
I have set up an alarm action using HTTP POST method. The DCE server correctly connects to the HTTP server defined by the URL, but no data is transferred. The request body is empty, when using PHP, the $_POST variable is empty. I have tried http as well as https, authenticated as well as unauthenticated. The DCE version is 7.4.0. Is there anything that needs to be set to get the data?
I've not heard of issues like this, at least nothing recent. That being said, you're using a quite old, out of date, and unsupported version of DCE. My first suggestion is to upgrade to a current version. Right now we're on 8.3 and 9.0 should be officially released soon.
If you simply want to test the new version to verify it works, I suggest deploying a free 5 node virtual machine, add a single device, then test your HTTP post. If there is anything wrong with that old version of DCE, the only option is an upgrade. Please note that up until 8.3, support contracts are required.
