In IT Advisor, how do I connect a Fanout cable to equipment in multiple racks?
I only see equipment in the current rack in the dropdown list.

Hello. I tested this process from the ITA desktop client.
You can connect fanout cables connectors to items in multiple racks, you just cannot do this during the initial fannout connections step (this would be a nice feature request which I'll create).
1. Create your network connection from your source device using a fanout cable to the first destination device and port. So if you are using a 1:4 fanout cable you might connect cable 1 from the fanout cable from rack1 switch 1 port 1 to rack2 switch 1 port 1.
2. Accept the connection and close the create connection wizard.
3. Now use the connection tool to draw a connection from the same source device to the destination device in the next rack, lets call it rack 3. The wizard will appear, if you select the same source port on rack 1 which has the fanout cable, the remaining fanout connections will appear like in my below example and you can tune the port connection on rack 3.
Then save the connection.
Hope this helps. Regards
