EcoStruxure IT GW: voltages sensor names not correct for Smart-UPS VT

Hi all!

After updating the EcoStruxure IT Gateway software to version 1.3.3.2, I found that the AC voltages sensor names for the three-phase models of Smart-UPS VT (NMC2 firmware is v6.5.6) are not correct:

I.e., the names of AC voltages sensors should be line-neutral, and not line-line.

Very thanks for the support.

Hi Support team,

I am glad to inform you, that the above-mentioned bug was successfully fixed in the latest firmware v.6.6.4 for NMC2 when using the latest version of the free software EcoStruxure IT Gateway.

Good job 😀.

Will this bug be fixed in the future?

Very thanks for the support.

Hi support team,

I'm noting that, unfortunately, the above bug is still not fixed in the new version of the software EcoStruxure IT Gateway 1.3.4.6.

Very thanks for the support.

This does not appear to be a bug.  Looking at the sensor values in your screenshot, all the device's "Phase Orientation" sensors are set to "Phase to Phase", the Gateway software uses this information to set the labels for the Input and Output Voltages to "Line-Line".

Dear Ralph Berrett,

This does not appear to be a bug...

This is the bug, because if sensor Output Phase Orientation = Phase to Phase (3P) is visible from my screenshot, then sensors Phase to Phase voltages should be 400V, but not 230V. Since we have 230V - this is Phase to Neutral voltages. I hope you understand me correctly.

With respect.

Hello spezialist.

Can you get screenshots from the device UI? What is it reporting?

Can you do an SNMP Walk on the Smart-UPS VT and send me the results? I think you have my email address already. I can get it to you again if needed.

We need to narrow down where the breakdown is.

Thank you kindly,

Jason

Dear Jason Dutra,

Can you get screenshots from the device UI? What is it reporting?

The my screenshot clearly shows that for the UPS Smart-UPS VT 40kVA Phase to Neutral voltages is 230V:

Firmware of my UPS Smart-UPS VT 40kVA:

Can you do an SNMP Walk on the Smart-UPS VT and send me the results?..

I think that this is not necessary, since my UPS – is a native Schneider Electric UPS with NMC2 with the latest firmware 6.5.6:

In addition, for this UPS in DCE-server 7.5.0, all voltages are correctly displayed.

But if you really need snmpwalk-file for Smart-UPS VT 40kVA with NMC2 AP9631, then I can do it only on Wednesday, June 20.

With respect.

Hello spezialist,

In an effort to find a device to test against here we have discovered a bug logged for this very issue. This bug is in the NMC2 firmware used by the Smart-UPS VT units. It appears it was logged fairly recently and has not been addressed yet. I have updated the internal ticket with a link to this forum post.

Hopefully this will be fixed within a future NMC firmware update.

Kind reagrds,

Jason

Hello spezialist,

As I stated in my last reply "This bug is in the NMC2 firmware used by the Smart-UPS VT units."

This is not an issue that can be fixed with a Gateway update. I have logged a bug against the UPS firmware and it looks like it will be addressed in an upcoming UPS firmware. I do not have a release date for the UPS firmware.

Kind reagrds,

Jason
