I Need to change the mac address from a DCE server, but when i start the server i receive the message below

DATA CENTER EXPERT IS UNABLE TO START DUE TO A MAC ADDRESS CHANGE

Hi Silvio,

The only supported method to change the MAC address is to backup the server, deploy a new, and restore the backup to the new VM.

Because the MAC address is used to generate many internal identifiers, this process is required so that the data is migrated properly forcing new identifiers to be created.
