DCE Device Template not accepting valid Auth phrase or crypt phrase
DCE 8.3.0 Device -> APC SNMP Device Configuration -> Create a template -> Retrieve Device Settings -> Next to edit template settings.
It won't accept 13 character Authentication or Encryption phrases. It requires a minimum of 16, which I can't use because I have use the same phrases as used by the 10's of thousands of other devices.
The same 13 character phrases work via the web page settings and changing them via the console.
Do I have any options other than ssh to 3,000 UPSs?

unfortunately as you've found, the minimum snmpv3 character limit is hard coded to 15 characters in the mass configuration menu. it looks like the rfc minimum is 8 characters. NMC1 devices used to require 15 characters, which is why its set to that. I'll create an enhancement request to lower it in mass config settings.
