DCE - APC SNMP Device Configuration is not available on APDU10150ME

Hi,

I am trying to add a few APDU10150ME PDUs to DCE.

They currently have SNMPv1 enabled but when I want to update them to SNMPv3, it doesn't have the APC SNMP Device Configuration option.

And if I configure SNMPv3 in the Web GUI, DCE doesn't discover it, even though I enter the correct security settings.

Has anyone able to configure SNMPv3 using DCE?

OK it worked.

Two things has to be noted:
SNMP Version has to be set to either V1/2c&V3 or V3.

The other authentication has to be set to the S one and the privacy has to be set to the 128 one as 192 or 256 don't work.  I can't put the full name since I am not allowed to do so, so hopefully you will understand what they are.

Hello @mkmazid,

Your 10K Series advanced PDU likely contains a legacy network management card.  A replacement is available to purchase that would change this to a APC NMC 3 card that would activate the features that you are looking for within Data Center Expert.

Information on this display can be found here: https://www.se.com/uk/en/product/APDU9640NMC3/apc-netshelter-rack-pdu-advanced-network-management-ca...

You can reference the documentation on that page for more details.

If you have any specific questions on the PDU / Display outside its relation to Data Center Expert, I would recommend another post for those in the APC Enterprise community forum: https://community.se.com/t5/APC-UPS-Data-Center-Enterprise/bd-p/datacenter-forum

Kind Regards,

Cory

Hi @Cory_McDonald,

We're talking about 7 PDUs with this issue.  Surely it cannot have the same issue in all of them?  That would really be absurd having spent a lot on them only for them not be compatible with DCE due to a legacy card.

Regards,

Mohammed

It appears I can add the PDU if I configure the Security Level to No Auth No Priv.  This obviously is not advised so need this to be AuthPriv.  All the other settings are correct.
