The DCE themselves should have no problem with this (or even be aware of it).
But beware that some devices may. They may be limited in how many requests they can handle in a given time (SYMW over modbus is a notable example of this), or they may have a limit to how many connections they can handle at once (so it mostly works except when requests collide).
It's also worth noting that "priority scanning" (where the DCE polls immediately in response to a trap/alarm from the device) can make these events not as rare as they sound, as both DCE will respond to the same trap in the same manner at almost the same time.
This makes it difficult to promise - it should work fine, but keep these corner-cases in mind because the symptoms of communications issues at the device would be lost communications at the DCE, so the issue isn't always where the symptom is.
