Advanced View 4.7.2 no longer offers configuration options?

Late to the party, I know, but this version of Advanced View no longer allows me to configure the netbotz settings. What am I missing here?

Hello @vieczore,

I can see from your post that Advanced View 4.7.2 is being used, which should allow configuration to be done on NetBotz appliances running the same firmware version or similar.

What model NetBotz Appliance are you connecting to?

What firmware version is running on the appliance?

Can you provide any screen captures showing what options are available within Advanced View?

Regards,

Cory

The devices are Netbotz 355.
This is what AV 4.6.4 looks on a 355 running 4.6.4

and this is what AV 4.7.2 looks like on a 355 running 4.7.2

In both cases I'm logged in as an administrator.

Hi @vieczore ,
I don't know that I've ever seen the configurations options all blank as you show in your second image.

Do you have any other NetBotz appliances of the same model? Even if they're not running 4.7.2, can that 7.7.2 client see any of the configurations options?
If i can see the options, that would seem to point to the 355 as being the issue here. If it can't, then it would seem to point to the AV install or the computer running it.

If you believe it to be the NetBotz itself, you may want to try to re-upgrade the firmware using this procedure:
https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA176133/

If that fails, I'd suggest resetting the 355 to defaults.

https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA158175/

If it seems to be the AV, I'd suggest trying to install it on another computer. Maybe you could also try turning off any antivirus or making some allowances in the firewall.

We'll do what we can here but you should know that the version NetBotz you're working with is out of date and out of support.
https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA158113/

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,
Using the AV 4.7.2 client on a netbotz 355 v 4.6.4 f/w shows the same lack of config options.
I've tried installing the Windows client on a different computer are have the same result; no config options
and the only option under the "Tools" menu is "Messages"

I don't think it's the firmware on the Netbotz, as I can access the configuration options using Data Center Expert, so all is not lost.

Hi @vieczore ,

Cory had mentioned matching the version of advanced view with the firmware on the bot. You're running different versions and although it doesn't usually cause this type of issue, in addition to the options I already suggested, perhaps you can upgrade the bot itself:
https://www.se.com/us/en/download/document/APC_SFNBZ_472_EN/

https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA176133/

This all started because I upgraded the firmware on the 355 to 4.7.2.
That's when noticed the missing config options in the matching 4.7.2 version of AdvancedView.

NetBotz Advanced View: Version 4.7.2 (Build: AV_20220928_1307)
Netbotz 355 OS Version: V4_7_2_20220927_1736
Netbotz Application Version: V4_7_2_20220927_1736
