The Valve Body was available in 1.1/4", 1.1/2" and 2" B.S.P. sizes and was normally installed as a mixing valve in variable temperature, constant volume, compensated heating circuits. No Valve Body / Actuator assemblies are currently available in these sizes. Issue Having difficulties integrating an SED-T stat with the MPM (Stat not being "learned" by the MPM) Product Line EcoStruxure Building Expert Environment SmartStruxure Lite Multi-Purpose Manager SED-T00 SED-TS0 SED-TH0 SED-THS Cause Installation manual does not provide enough information Resolution Commissioning tips and recommendations   Dip Switches: SED-T series stats come directly from production with all dip switches set to 0. The dip switches settings must be changed otherwise the device will not send any telegrams. Tip: When pairing an EnOcean Temperature Sensor with the MPM, always set at least one pin of the DIP switch to the ON position before learning it in. Otherwise the MPM will not display any readings regardless of dip switch configuration even if the Enocean ID had been populated in the EODC object. The workaround at this point would be to click on the learn button again, the device will be learned successfully when the “RSSI” value and a “Last Communication” time stamp are displayed.   Example on how to use the dip switches: If the dip switches are set to 1= OFF, 2 = ON, 3 = ON, 4 = OFF, the stat would wake up every 10 seconds and take a look at the values. if they changed, the stat will send a new telegram with the new value. if the value did not change however, the stat will go back to sleep until the next 10 seconds elapse (first iteration). If the value did still did not change before the 7th iteration, then the stat will randomly send a telegram with the unchanged value at any time between the 7th and the 14th iteration. that is a minimum of 10*7 = 70 seconds and maximum of 10*14 = 140 seconds.   Solar cell: When removing the unit from the box for the first time, its energy banks (super capacitor) need to be charged using one of the methods below in order to be able to learn the device. A minimum of 2.1VDC is required before the stat can wake up and send a telegram and Ideally, the Super cap voltage should be between 4 to 5Volts. Method 1: Power the sensor with 24VAC for 1 hour (3volts/hour) Method 2: expose the solar cell to light for x amount of time depending on the light source: 1- Room with LED panels: 24hr minimum charging time (0.1Volts/hour) 2- Lit room with day light: 3-4 hours minimum charging time (0.7Volts/hour) 3- Direct sunlight: 1/2 hour minimum charging time (3.5Volts/hour)   Battery: The 20mm coin cell battery does not charge the super capacitor, however it slows down the depletion of super capacitor once its charge drops below 2.1Volts.

Issue Operation of multiple Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controllers from a common Temperature Sensor. Product Line Field Devices Environment Fan Coil Unit installations comprising multiple Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controllers. Stand alone discreet Satchwell CZU Mk 1, Mk2, Mk3 and Mk4 Zonemaster Controllers CZU1201 CZU1202 CZU1203 CZU2201 CZU2202 CZU2203 CZU3201 CZU3202 CZU3203 CZU4201 Cause From time to time the need arises for office partition layouts within a building to be revised in order to reflect changes in occupancy requirements. This can result in the combination of numerous individual controlled spaces into a common controlled space. This in turn may result in the need to revise associated Fan Coil Unit control systems installed in the controlled spaces affected. Such revisions may require multiple Fan Coil Unit control systems to be controlled from a common Temperature Sensor installed in the common controlled space. This form of control may be achieved by adopting the installation method described in the Resolution. Should the common controlled space be of such a size as to benefit from the installation of averaging Temperature Sensors then this may be achieved by installing 4 non-adjustable Temperature Sensors.  The 4 non-adjustable Temperature Sensors should be wired in a series-parallel configuration in order to ensure compatibility with the associated Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controller. The series-parallel wiring configuration may be achieved by adopting the installation method described in the Resolution. Resolution 1.  Operation of multiple Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controllers from a common Temperature Sensor.  Multiple Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controllers should not be connected directly to a common Temperature Sensor. Instead the common Temperature Sensor should be connected to a single Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controller. The single Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controller should then be connected to the associated Fan Coil Unit Heating Coil Control Valve Actuators and / or Cooling Coil Control Valve Actuators. Up to 7 Heating and / or 7 Cooling Control Valve Actuators may be wired to a single Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controller in accordance with the method shown here 2.  Averaging Temperature Sensor control. Should the controlled space be of such a size as to benefit from the installation of averaging Temperature Sensors then 4 non-adjustable Temperature Sensors may be wired in series-parallel configuration in order to ensure connection compatibility with the associated Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controller. The 4 non-adjustable Temperature Sensors may be wired in series-parallel configuration to a common Satchwell CZU Fan Coil Unit Controller in accordance with the method shown here

Issue   A calibration certificate is sometimes requested by the end customer Product Line Field Devices Environment Veris sensors Cause   To ensure that a sensor is keeping measurement values within specification, a certificate is sometimes requested by the end customer. Resolution Calibration certificates are available for some Veris models and must be requested at the time of ordering by selecting  “N” in NIST block for 1% and 2% humidity transmitters. Temperature transmitters can be ordered with 1 or 2 point calibration certificates by selecting 1 or 2 in the in the Temp Cert Block. The following example shows how the model numbers are built up: As can be seen in the second example above the model HD2NVCTC2 has a 2% accuracy RH element with a NIST traceable certificate, it also has a 1K platinum RTD with a 2 point  calibration certificate. Issue SEC-TE (TE2) smart terminal controller / SED-0 (DA2) smart wireless actuator will not come online in an MPM controller. Product Line EcoStruxure Building Expert, Field Devices Environment SmartStruxure Lite Multi-Purpose Manager Smart Controllers Cause The Zigbee network configuration parameters in the MPM have been entered incorrectly. Resolution The application version of the SEC-TE/SED-0 must be determined before proceeding forward. Sticker on device should read V13 or V14. To check/modify the current settings, navigate to the "ZigBee Configuration" object (ZBC) under the MPM. For Application Version 13: Stack profile should be set to "Custom" and Security profile should be set to "None." For Application Version 14: Stack profile should be set to "ZigBee Pro" and Security profile should be set to "Home Automation."

Issue SER8000 series room controllers communications options Environment SER8000 series room controllers Cause Integration to SER8000 room controllers via Modbus is required.  Resolution Currently, the SER8000 series room controllers communications options are Zigbee Pro or BACnet MS/TP. Refer to the SER8300 datasheet.  To communicate on Modbus RS-485, an option would be to use the multi purpose manager (MPM-UN) as a gateway device.    * Updated July 2015 As per Product Annoucement PA-00428, the SE8000 with firmware 1.3 can now act as a Modbus slave using the RS-485 port.

Resolution OVERVIEW The Drayton Theta YBL1 Valve Body / Actuator assembly is obsolete, and there is no purpose built replacement. The Valve Body was available in 1.1/4", 1.1/2" and 2" B.S.P. sizes and was normally installed as a mixing valve in variable temperature, constant volume, compensated heating circuits. No Valve Body / Actuator assemblies are currently available in these sizes. Issue Changing the BACnet MAC address of the Multical meters Product Line Field Devices Environment Multical 601/602 with BACnet MS/TP module Cause The default BACnet MAC address of the BACnet MS/TP module has to be changed for BACnet integration to a BMS system Resolution Requires the USB Optical Eye tool (part number: MAOPTICUSB) and the software tools of the METERTOOL HCW or the Module Programmer. Both the METERTOOL HCW and the Module Programmer can be used to change the BACnet MAC address. The METERTOOL HCW is a program that installs SQL Server whilst the Module Programmer is a simple and lite program with limited functionality. So for the purpose of changing the BACnet MAC address, the procedure to change the BACnet MAC address using the Module Programmer is shown in this article.  Install the USB drivers for the USB Optical Eye tool before connecting the tool to the laptop for the first time. The Module Programmer software must be installed after the Optical Eye hardware has been recognised by the computer. Remove the protective magnet from the Optical Eye and place on the front of the meter that we want to change. The Optical Eye sits over the bottom left corner where the small window is, resting on the 2 nipples, magnetically held. Launch the Module Programmer software. If not already shown, select the Com port which says Kamstrup USB Controller. Press the Read button, this should return the Meter Type and Module Placement. If you are using the MULTICAL 602 and have fitted the module into the base of the meter Select the correct Module Type from the drop down list. Here you must select BACnet because this is what you have. Press the same Read button again, it will read out the current setting. This is the MAC address of the meter for the BACnet MS/TP network. If you are using the Schneider Electric AS/AS-P, the number must be less than 127. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to change address value or enter the number in this field manually. Press the Write button to send the new MAC address to the meter. It is best to power cycle the meter after changing any settings with this programmer tool. You can press Reset and prepare for new meter button and repeat the above steps. Read the address to verify that the new setting has been successfully written to the meter. * Contact Product Support for the software and drivers.
