Issue
Sigma software installation fails due to an OCX registration error.
Environment
Satchwell Sigma
Cause
The error occurs because the Windows user account used during installation does not have administrative rights. Admin rights are required to register OCX components during the Sigma installation process.
This requirement is documented in the Release Notes
Resolution
To resolve the issue:
- Log in to Windows using an account with administrative privileges.
- Re-run the Sigma installation.
Once the installation is executed with the correct permissions, the OCX components will register successfully, and the software will install without errors.
