Issue
After installing SmartConnector components and configuring the EBO EWS interface according to the official integration guide, the EWS server remains in an offline state in EBO, generating alarms “Gsoap_Communication__Error: 65535” and “Device offline.”

Cause
The EWS Server is disabled by default; if not enabled, communication between SmartConnector (SC) and EBO via EWS cannot be established, preventing SC values from being updated or reflected in EBO.
Resolution
Enable the EWS Server in EBO WorkStation to allow SmartConnector communication via EWS.
- Log in to EBO WorkStation to the Enterprise/Automation Server.
- Navigate to Control Panel - Web Services under the target server.
- Open EWS Server Configuration.
- Select Enable EWS Server.
