Issue
Poor communication is experienced between an Automation Server Premium (AS-P) and Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) generator or switchgear Modbus RTU slave devices.

Cause
When upgrading from an Automation Server (AS) to an Automation Server Premium (AS-P), Modbus communication performance may degrade. Communication that was stable with the AS may become unreliable or poor when using the AS-P.
Resolution
Ensure the AS-P is running version v3.2.3.8000 to improve Modbus RTU polling performance.
If the issue persists, or if upgrading is not possible:
- Access the DSE Modbus slave configuration using the DSE software tool
- Locate the Inter-Frame delay parameter
- Change the value from 0 ms to 1 ms
