Users may be searching for "demo licenses", "evaluation licenses", "temporary licenses", "project licenses", or "engineering licenses". The terminology differs depending on the EBO version being used. EBO 7.0 and later uses Engineering Licenses, while EBO 2024 (6.0) and earlier uses Evaluation Licenses:

EBO 7.0 and later
Introduces the Engineering license, replacing previous demo or evaluation licenses. These licenses support system operation during the project phase without requiring commercial licenses. -
EBO 2024 (6.0) and earlier
Evaluation license files remain available and must be downloaded manually.
Resolution
EBO 7.0 and Later — Engineering Licenses
- Engineering licenses can be downloaded from the EcoStruxure Power & Building Software Companion during the project phase.
- When the system is ready for commissioning or handover, you can convert Engineering licenses to Commercial licenses in the portal.
- No re-engineering or replacement of the license is required.
- Engineering licenses are valid for 6 months.
- They can be extended for another 6 months if required.
- WorkStation Pro demo licenses remain available for limited-time operation.
- Use commercial WorkStation Pro licenses for uninterrupted use.
EBO 2024 (6.0) and Earlier — Evaluation Licenses
- Evaluation license files are available to BMS EcoXperts and Schneider Electric employees on mySchneider.
- Search for “Evaluation License” after logging in.
- The evaluation licenses are contained within the EcoStruxure Building Operation x.x Software package.
- The license files can be downloaded individually from within the software package.
