In this session, we discussed the following topics:
RSTP Status Graphic (01:46)
@Mike Botens developed a slick solution that uses Client API when viewing this graphic in WebStation to validate current RSTP status on controllers. This could be a golden resource to check before completing a ring in the field. A version of this file is attached (that includes a progress bar as requested during the call!).
New standard application binding approach (20:30)
@DavidFisher shares about issues experienced with traditional bindings on SmartX controller programs to specific command priorities and how the software tiger team decided to modify their binding strategy to ensure user changing and forcing of values behaves the way we would expect.
Updated Standard PID Macro (41:40)
@DavidFisher shows issues with possible value mismatch like when bound out to Requested Value of an analog output and then monitoring the feedback from the Value attribute. David and the standards team have updated the macro to prevent this from negatively affecting control.
Thanks to everyone that was able to join us for the call! If you are interested in checking out our other recordings or joining live for a future session, please check out our series page:
