Announcing: New & Improved Sarix Enhanced Range!

I am pleased to announce that the Sarix Enhanced Range firmware 2.1 is available from the Download Center now and it will be available in production units in October!

This firmware version includes two new major enhancements to the Sarix Enhanced Range that I am very excited to offer:

  • Built-in Pelco Analytics Suite – When you upgrade to firmware 2.1.0 you get 9 powerful analytic behaviors, including Simple Motion Detection, Abandoned Object, Adaptive Motion, Camera Sabotage, Directional Motion, Loitering Detection, Object Counting, Object Removal, and Stopped Vehicle. Additionally, Sarix Enhanced Range lets you run any two analytic behaviors at one time, making it an extremely powerful analytics tool!

  • ONVIF Profile G Compliance - ONVIF G is a recognized compliance for edge storage within cameras, and Pelco is on the cutting edge of this conformity.  With ONVIF G any compliant VMS can take advantage of local storage in the camera, allowing for alarm recording and retrieval, and other functions as the VMS sees fit.

These great features keep the Sarix Enhanced Range on the forefront of the surveillance industry. Other improvements and bug fixes are detailed in the release notes. I highly recommend that customers and demo units are upgraded with the latest firmware to get the fullest experience from their Sarix Enhanced Range cameras. I highly recommend that you upgrade customers and demo units with the latest firmware to get the fullest experience from your Sarix Enhanced Range cameras.
