Solution 33: Enhance the interoperability of energy-consuming equipment and your BMS for greater performance
The EcoStruxure Building by Schneider Electric lets you achieve seamless integration and benefit from the latest innovations in energy management. The new native BACnet MS/TP and ZigBee wireless interface enables direct serial communication between Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Building Operation, SER8150 remote controllers, and Panasonic’s variable refrigerant flow (VRF)-based HVAC systems with smart connectivity.
As a building owner or operator, you can view all major building systems—including HVAC, lighting, security, power, and electrical distribution—anytime and anywhere from a single interface. Plus, the system delivers actionable insights to help you reduce energy consumption and generate savings.
If you have not yet tried VRF-based HVAC (stand-alone or with a chiller-based system), you should know that these systems’ inverter technology (rather than on/off operation) can bring substantial energy savings. Also, because VRF-based HVAC systems—whether you need multiple units or a stand-alone zone-temperature- control solution—are easy to install, commissioning is faster and more efficient than ever.
