apc pro 1300 battery replacement
I am trying to install a replacement battery in a pro 1300. The compartment has red and black labels at the bottom. But the battery seems symetrical (will fit either way) with a green side (sticker) and a red side. Can the battery be inserted either way (i.e., does battery polarity matter?)?

Polarity absolutely matters as installing the RBC incorrectly will result in a failed UPS / RBC upon power up. I have appended the RBC installation manual for your reference.
It may not be clear in the picture gram but (IF) the RBC is properly orientated the (Green Side) will be facing up as you insert the cartridge into the housing.
NOTE: The orientation of the UPS Housing and the door is lifted up. Identifying the correct housing position before the RBC is inserted.
