SRT 10000 New batteries need replacement and other issues

I replaced the batteries less than a year ago on this unit and now its saying that they need to be replaced. Tried a self test and the test failed due to "internal fault." Too add to the list, over the weekend i received the message "bypass not in range, distorted waveform." I was wondering if the utility power not being proper could have ruined the batteries or is this unit just need to be replaced?

The average service life of the RBC is 2-5 years based on usage, temperature, and environmental conditions.

The individual cells that make up the RBC are rated for 260 cycles subject to the sane caveats outlined above.
