Runtime constantly reporting 0 minutes after outtage

I have three UPSs. Two are SMC1500s. One SMC1500 Tower, 1 2U rack mount SMC1500, and an older SMT1500 Smart UPS. The night before last a tree limb took our powerline down in the alley behind our house. All 3 UPSs picked up the loads right away no problem. However when the power was restored about 19 hours later only the SMT1500 Smart UPS came online and charged up like normal. The SMC units are only 6 months old and never have had a deep discharge. At any rate, can anyone advise me on how long these units need to charge before they report anything other than 0 minutes runtime left? The SMC1500 tower has no external load on it. The SMC1500 rack has about a 135-watt load. Is this normal behavior? Also, the batteries indicators show 0% SoC. The cloud also shows them both at 0% SoC. Like I said , they've been charging for at least 4 hours now.

I solved this about 10 minutes after posting. The simple solution is to enter the UPS menu and set rb.0 to rb.1 and the estimator starts working. It will instantly start showing SoC again afterwards. Not sure why this isn't in the manual, but it worked perfectly. You will want to note your original battery replacement dates because they will be changed when you do this. You can set your dates back on the cloud and all will be corrected. Thanks for your response.

It will take a minimum of 24-72 hours depending upon the size and output of the charger in the system.

As a reference the SMT1500 floor standing unit has a 136 watt charger. Whereas the SMT1500RM2 rack mount has a 144 watt charger.

The SMC1500RM2U only has a 86 watt charger?!?! 🤦‍♂️ The tower floor version is only 73 watts! 🤢

I highly recommend you contact APC Technical Support and submit a service request to track and diagnose this issue.

As invoking the RBC Reset / Installation is not the solution or expected behaviour. What is the serial number, UPS ID, and current UPS Firmware on these two units?

This is an obvious firmware bug or the units are defective.
