Hi there,
I have a APC 1350VA Sine Wave UPS. Bought in September 2023. Last week, I started getting a rapid beeping sound out of nowhere. I live in Northern California, and it has started to get warmer out, so I’m assuming this is some warning related to overheating. Or is it something related to health or battery? Light on front is green. Attached a video from my wife who didn’t know what was making the sound, so it’s not visible in frame. But gives a sense of the alert.
Pressing and holding the green button for 8-10s seems to make it stop for a period of time, but it inevitably comes back.
Wondering if anyone has run into this, and has recommendations other than putting a fan on it? I don’t have A/C at the moment.

Provide a photo of the front, back, side of the UPS. If the system is connected to a computer that is running APC Power Chute Software call out the active fault / error codes.
The (Event) logs will call out the active / past fault whether it be internal fault, over heating, bad battery, over load, disconnected battery cartridge.

It’s only connected to a Synology NAS via USB. Not sure whether any specific software is running to monitor the UPS. I know the NAS has been configured to talk to the UPS so it can perform a safe shutdown in event of a power loss.
the UPS is in a tough to reach spot, so these are the photos I could manage.

You’ll need to use the front LCD Menu to scroll / view the past faults / errors and report them here.
The system is covered by a three year warranty and given the stated purchase date is still in force.
Please reach out to APC Technical Support and share this forum link. Have ready the serial number, purchase receipt, any logs and active faults / error codes.
NOTE: If the logs indicate a high internal temperature. A new unit will not solve this problem as the stated operating range is 32 - 104’F.
Elevated temperatures will cause the system to shutdown and reduce the service life of the internal battery cartridge. Along with causing the battery cells to bulge, warp, and vent.

Based on the photo you have a battery fault. The battery is covered by a two year warranty so based on your September 2023 purchase date it’s still under warranty.
Submit a service request with APC Technical Support. Have ready the serial number, receipt, and active fault / error code held in the internal logs.
Scroll through the LCD to the log section and take a picture of the battery failure / error.
