The temperature value depends upon the production year, model, and firmware in place.
Generally speaking the high limit for a lead acid RBC is 45’C / 113’F.
Regardless of the specific high temperature value it’s safe to say the RBC is above 40’C.
What is the APC UPS SKU? Provide the following logs for review in its entirety minus any (PII) data: Event, Data, UPS, Diagnostics

When configuring your Smart-UPS environment, it is critical to distinguish between the two primary temperature events. While default values vary by specific UPS model and firmware, the industry standards for these triggers are typically defined as follows:

| Temperature Threshold Exceeded | 95°F to 104°F (35°C to 40°C) | Signals that the environment is outside the optimal operating range. The battery chemistry is beginning to degrade at an accelerated rate. |

When responding to these alerts, consider these three factors to reduce risk:
The 77 Degree Rule: While these alerts may not trigger until temperatures rise significantly, remember that for every 15 degrees Fahrenheit above 77 degrees, the chemical lifespan of your VRLA battery is effectively cut in half. An alert at 95 degrees often means your batteries have already entered a period of rapid, irreversible decay.
Sensor Placement: Ensure your temperature probes are located at the battery intake or the nearest point of heat generation. Ambient room temperature is often inaccurate because it ignores the localized thermal pockets inside a closed UPS cabinet.
Liability Management: Treat these alerts as indicators of a shrinking asset lifecycle. If you are consistently seeing the "Threshold Exceeded" alert, your maintenance strategy should shift from periodic testing to a shortened, proactive replacement cycle to avoid the liability of an unplanned audit or downtime event during a power failure.
