Non genuine battery?

Hi

I have purchased a APC BACK-UPS ES - BE650G2-UK - Uninterruptible Power Supply 650VA from amazon.

I have noticed the battery in the unit is made by Leoch, is this normal? In the past I've also seen a APC branded battery. Any help to confirm would be great.

Leoch is one of the OEM brands used by APC / SE in their UPS.

The other brands are CSB, Long, Vision, etc. Depending upon region and hardware you will not see the APC (RBC) sticker applied to the outer battery casing.

In most cases you’ll see the CSB branded cells covered in the APC (RBC) sticker. All other third party battery manufacturers the sticker isn’t affixed.
