Clicking noise in APC Pro 1500 after power outage

We had a series of power fluctuations and our 1500 gave an F02 fault. I arrived after the power was restored and saw the fault. I cleared the fault and replugged everything into the unit, but now there is a regular clicking noise in the unit. Is this the battery recharging? The power outages were more power fluxes, so the batteries in the 1500 weren't even really being used. This clicking has continued for over an hour now. It sounds like a relay going on and off.

A F02 error is a output short as such you should disconnect all connected loads from the system.

Then reconnect one load at a time to the system.

If the F02 error comes back and trips the system you have found the failing hardware / equipment.

As it relates to the relays engaging (clicking) this normally happens if the unit is going into AVR or Battery Inverter Mode.

Both of which can be identified on the unit or via APC Power Chute Software.

NOTE: If the unit is rapidly engaging the relays disconnect the system from AC Mains and remove the RBC (Battery) and wait for the power issue to go away. As you risk damaging the unit and causing a relay weld condition.
