Blinking red light

My Backup UPS 650 has a constantly blinking red light. It shows green when first turned on and then immediately goes to red. There is no alarm being sounded and all items plugged in appear to be properly operating.

Is this something I should be concerned about, and if so, what can/should I do?

Based on the limited information provided here it would seem the RBC (Battery) is EOL and needs to be replaced.

Typically a blinking red light indicates during the start up process the self test has failed. In your case the most reasonable explanation is the RBC is expired.

You can confirm all of this by the following these action items:

AC Mains: Disconnect AC Mains from the wall outlet. If the system turns off immediately or in a very short period of time the RBC is EOL.

Power Chute: You may confirm the battery installation date. The RBC is designed to provide 2-5 years of service life based on usage, temperature, and environmental conditions. The raw cells inside are built to sustain 260 cycles subjected to the same caveats as above.

Logs: Power Chute (PSCC) will provide you with more information as to active faults and error codes. It will likely indicate the RBC is EOL.
