How many battery packs do I need to purchase for the replacement that is due in Sept. It is unclear. I have dual units. Main and backup. I'm gussing 2 for each unit?

If I understand the question correctly that you have one SMX1500 and one extended battery pack.

You would need to order three RBC115 cartridges.

Insure the following action items are completed in sequence once the RBC is 100% fully charged which can take a minimum of 72 hours.

Date: Update the RBC installation date via the following available methods LCD, NMC, Power Chute. Doing so resets internal counters and adjusts charging tables if applicable.

Self Test: Manually initiate a self test and let pass and RBC to return to 100% SOC.

Calibration: Manually initiate a battery calibration with a minimum connected load of 30% or higher via LCD, NMC, Power Chute.

Once complete allow the RBC to recharge to 100% SOC.

This procedure will help teach the system the current health of the RBC. This in turn will better reflect the operational runtime via LCD, NMC, Power Chute.

NOTE: Document the installation date and calibration physically on each of the RBC front case.
