Hi,
I have bought APC BR1000G 3 days back, I need to protect my new 42 inch Sony LED TV and YAMAHA Receiver but after three days of use I have noticed that during power cut's the TV turn off and it comes back hence I have called the APC customer support.
They are saying this perticular UPS is not ment for LED TV it is stepped up sinewave and it will damage my brand new LED TV. I am in pool of confusion I have checked the user manual it says about using AV Receiver with this UPS model.
I request you to kindly confirm me, is it I can use TV and AV Receiver with this model or not.
Also please help me to know what to do at this stage.

Faizil,
Certain pieces of equipment are much more particular in the input power sine wave they will accept. It is possible that your TV and Receiver are advanced pieces of equipment that require a pure sine wave as opposed to the step approximated sine wave this back ups unit provides when it transfers to battery. To confirm, you may want to contact the manufacturers of your equipment or at least read documentation on this equipment to understand what particular power requirements exist.
