BN600G Beeps for 5 to 7 Seconds and Power Light Blinks Red Every Few Minutes
BN600G started beeping for about 5-7 seconds every 10 or 15 minutes, and power light changed to blinking red. I replaced the battery - old one was about 6 years old. The beeping not only continued, it is much more frequent now, occurring every 2 or 3 minutes, sometimes less. I downloaded the latest Power chute software and connected the USB cable, which hadn't ever been connected. The beeping sequence has not changed and now the monitors sort of blink and sound a tone like I've turned them off, and colors go kind of opposite, for lack of a better description. This happens every minute or so. It's all driving me crazy. The event log shows loss of power every time the UPS beeps.

The behavior you are describing indicates your BN600G is failing to maintain a stable connection and is likely power cycling due to internal hardware degradation. Replacing the battery did not resolve the issue, which confirms the fault lies within the charging circuit or the inverter. I would recommend replacing the UPS with a Line Interactive model that will provide a pure Sine Wave output - like the APC Smart-UPS Line Interactive 750VA 120V model, depending on your specific application and total wattage draw.
Recommended Troubleshooting
Perform a Hard Reset: Disconnect all devices, unplug the unit from the wall, and disconnect the battery. Hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain residual charge. Reconnect and test with a simple load like a lamp to see if the flickering persists.
Check for Building Wiring Faults: Look for an indicator light on the back of the unit. If lit, your wall outlet may have a ground or polarity issue, causing the UPS to switch to battery mode unnecessarily.
Evaluate Hardware Health: The flickering of your monitors suggests the UPS can no longer provide consistent voltage. If the hard reset does not stop the beeping and power loss, the unit has reached the end of its reliable lifespan.
Risk Assessment Continued use of this unit poses a risk to your connected equipment. If the symptoms persist after the reset, the UPS is effectively a liability and should be replaced to prevent potential damage to your monitors or other hardware.
