Was trying to track down why an ES 350 was every once in a while beeping, when I saw BN110M2 site wiring fault indicator is dimly lit.
The user manual says if The UPS operates normally, but the site wiring fault indicator is lit then the explanation is there is building wiring error such as missing ground or hot to neutral wire reversal.
When I talked to tech support, I was told that the indicator lit means the hot and neutral reversed, the neutral to ground reading has to be less than 5 volts. Suggested moving to another outlet.
Using DVM found hot and neutral are in the correct location and the neutral to ground reading was about 1/2 volt AC. Plugging in the original ES 350 does not turn on ES 350 Building Wiring Fault. Moving to another outlet did not change the site wiring fault status. Using Extech ET10 gfci receptacle tester did not show a problem.
I incline to believe the BN1100M2 site wiring fault indicator is showing a problem that does not exist.
Should not the site wiring fault indicator if detecting a fault be brightly lit?

Hi,
If the wiring is correct then the issue is with the UPS. You can try and reset the UPS
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the "On" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.
If the reset does not resolve the issue and you know the wiring is correct you can ignore the error as the UPS will still back-up the load or replace the UPS.
