i just purchased a BE750G the other day. i noticed that half the time i look, powerchute personal edition 3.0.2 says "remaining battery charge is 101%, battery is currently charging". the rest of the time, everything is fine. is something wrong with my unit or battery?

Hello,
Unfortunately the user cannot apply this firmware update for this specific UPS model (or most Back-UPS products). If this is bothersome, you'll have to contact tech support for an RMA to replace the entire UPS.

From my research, it looks like a bug on the UPS firmware side.
Under About under help and support in PowerChute, what is the UPS firmware version? It appears to be very random and what I'd suggest is to perhaps try resetting the UPS and see if it goes away. To reset it, turn off and unplug any attached devices, including the USB cable. Turn the UPS itself off and unplug it from AC power. Disconnect and remove the battery and hold down the power button for about 15 seconds. Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the UPS to AC power and turn it on. Reconnect your attached devices and USB cable and you can then turn them on and re-check PowerChute.

I have confirmed this is a cosmetic only firmware bug that will be addressed next month in new units. If you see 101% and charging, it does indicate the UPS is really at 100% and fully charged.

This unit is not technically firmware upgradable for this UPS by a user but when the firmware is available, we can discuss options if you don't want to live with this.

Well I guess I meant more when it is confirmed there is a fix available since I can't do anything right this second unfortunately. I was told next month this would be in production so when it is, I can circle back with you. Feel free to post for an update if you don't hear from me.

Hello - FYI - this issue is resolved in BE750G firmware W4 (where you had firmware W3).
