APC BE350 G constant alarm LED blinking red

Getting a constant squeal alarm and red LED blinking. When I check the unplugged battery it shows 13,55v. When I connect the battery, it shows same voltage. Turn the unit on while unplugged from 115v it still shows voltage fluctuating between 13.45 and 13.55 . When I plug the APC to 115v it still shows same voltage fluctuating. No load connected with all tests.

I left it off but plugged in with no load attached for a day.  Then turned it on. The green LED was blinking and the squeal waited maybe 5 seconds before sounding and the blinking LED turned red.

So, is it the battery or a bad unit?

Download, install, and connect the unit to a computer system running APC PCSS:

The Power Chute Software Program is at the very bottom of the page.

https://www.se.com/ca/en/product/BE350G/apc-backups-es-350va-120v/

Once the two systems are connected and PCSS software is running. Allow it to run for a minimum of 24 hours or when the application indicates what the error code / fault is.

Please review this APC FAQ to download the logs from the application and upload the same to the forum for review:

https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA159672/

How old is the unit and RBC (Battery) in the system? Provide the serial number of the unit and a picture of the internal RBC out of the unit.

Clearly showing the production date of the battery and vendor sticker.

Tried to install the PowerChute software but it does not see a connected UPS. Cannot connect the UPS because the 940-0127B cable (number on the USB end) I have will not connect to the port on the UPS. Think the UPS was purchased in 2019 and it is the original battery, I think. I included the cable in the battery pic. I see no date on the battery.

Can you provide a photo of the available ports on the unit. As the user manual only indicates two RJ11 / 12 for telephone surge protection and no Data port for APC Power Chute Software.

As it relates to the RBC can you provide a photo for the remaining sides for review. The production date is normally on the narrow side opposite of the battery terminals.

It will normally be a multi colour yellow sticker which has a alphanumeric numbers.

NOTE: The RBC is rated to provide 2-5 years of service life based on usage, temperature, and environmental conditions. The internal raw cells are designed to provide 260 cycles subject to the same caveats as above.

Your RBC is seven years old and is more than likely EOL and needs to be replaced.

I was wondering same thing about the ports.

Only one side of RBC has anything on it. It's a stamped number (MF27GB) in the plastic case as seen in the picture. There is no yellow sticker.

I figured the battery is EOL but since it was measuring full voltage it had me wondering. Wasn't wanting to buy new battery for a faulty unit I could help it.

Only thing plugged in on this unit is a modem and router.

We did have a few hour power outage a few weeks prior to this unit acting up. But it did come back up after power was restored. No other problems in the house from the power outage so don't think there was any surge.

Thanks for your help.
