The exact Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) for the SRT10KRMXLT-10KTF is rarely published as a standalone specification. In many enterprise environments, UL 1778 compliance for this class of UPS is primarily governed by the upstream overcurrent protection device, such as the facility circuit breaker. Checking the physical compliance plate on the rear of the chassis is often the most reliable method for verifying the exact rating for site documentation and safety audits.
As an additional recommendation for this deployment, transitioning to a native 208V configuration rather than using a 110V step-down setup can provide significant operational advantages. Operating at 208V requires considerably less amperage on the circuit, which lowers thermal stress, simplifies electrical planning, and optimizes facility wiring requirements.
To fully leverage this architecture, it is advisable to provision new 208V rack PDUs and appropriate server power cables. For single-corded devices like modems, basic switches, and legacy routers, adding a rack-mount Static Transfer Switch (STS) maintains critical redundancy while allowing the primary infrastructure to operate efficiently at 208V.
While deploying new PDUs, cables, and an STS requires an initial investment, the payback period realized through HVAC efficiency gains, reduced power consumption, and lower maintenance overhead is typically 18 to 24 months, depending on local power utility rates.
