SRTG10KXLI – All 5 fans not running, Event Code 120

Hello Schneider Electric Community,

I need assistance troubleshooting an APC Smart-UPS SRTG10KXLI 10 kVA.

The UPS is displaying “Fan Inoperative” – Event Code 120.

The UPS has five internal fans, and all five fans are not running.

I tested each of the five fans individually using an external 12 V DC power supply, and all five fans operate normally when externally powered.

I also measured the voltage at the fan connectors from the UPS and measured 0 V DC.

Could someone please assist me with the recommended troubleshooting procedure for Event Code 120 on the SRTG10KXLI?

If the system is still under warranty I highly recommend you contact APC Technical Support to initiate a RMA.

If the system is not under warranty then you may consider the following action items and report back the results:

Logs: Provide the diagnostic logs from the NMC and upload the same to the APC Forum for review.

Wizard: Manually initiate a first start using the setup wizard via LCD Menu.

Default: Manually initiate a default reset via the LCD Menu.

Brain Dead: Complete a brain dead reset three times following this APC FAQ:
