Hello,
I have a SMT2200RM2U and it has started to beep continuously with Alarm State: Connect Battery.
Existing battery still seems good, outputs 50V when tested with a multimeter. Still, we tried replacing the battery - same result. Factory reset, same result.
When plugged in to utility power, the UPS does not run without a battery, instead it powers on and off repeatedly every few seconds.
When the unit powers on after plugging battery in and with utility power plugged in, it stays up and running but immediately goes into Alarm State: Connect Battery.
We are not able to run tests or diagnostics using the panel.
The web UI shows, "The battery is not installed properly." We are quite certain that it is properly installed and fully seated.
Model: SMX1500RM2UCNC
Firmware: UPS 02.0 (ID1031)
Thanks!

You have a serious hardware issue if the unit will not operate on mains input voltage! ☝️
Complete the brain dead procedure as outlined in this APC FAQ:
https://www.se.com/ph/en/faqs/FA156611/
Report back what you see and observe once the above procedure has been completed. Provide the event & data logs for this specific unit along with the serial number.

I won't be able to perform this until after hours, and I'm not sure I'll get to this this weekend. Might have to wait until next. Will report back ASAP.
