Hello,
I have a licensed ESXi 5 server that has 2 VM guests. I have vMA 5.0 with PCNS 3.0.1 installed. Previous tests were successful in that after PCNS had initiated a shut down all VM guests and the host shutdown as expected. However, after boot up and launching the vMA again, PCNS refused to send out the shutdown command. I have it configured to shutdown when communication is lost with the NMC. With this being a test environment, it isn't plugged into an actual UPS.
What could be the cause of shutdown not being triggered? I didn't do any changes to PCNS or vMA after I initiated the first shut down. I'm stumped. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg

can you provide the logs from the PCNS client(s) as well as the UPS network management card please? that'd be a big help to see whats in there (or not in there).
