Malfunction of SURT2000XLI - "I changed the "Battery Constant" via HyperTerminal..."

Hello!

I changed the "Battery Constant" via HyperTerminal. Then I installed PowerChute and it identified the UPS successfully but displayed "Inverter Fault" error.

The settings for the COM-connection were 2400 Baud, 8 data bits, 1 Stop bit, no parity, protocol Xon/Xoff.

After a few minutes the UPS ceased to work properly. It beeps every second, the rear cooler works very quiet, the front one doesn't. No light indication.

HyperTerminal writes "?p" or "?Ё" every time when the UPS beeps.

Sometimes it the "X" light turns on, and the rear cooler starts to work loud. But after a few seconds UPS goes back to its miserable beeping-every-second condition.

Can any one give me an advice that will help me to solve the problem without going to service center?

There was one difference between what the instruction said and what the UPS actually returned: there was "NA" after "PROG" on a new line.
